Painting in the Directors Cottage...

This week, we began painting the inside of the Directors Cottage. Paint is not something that is common here. Most people wallpaper because the walls tend to be fairly uneven. The Directors Cottage is not built using the traditional Ukrainian brick and cement, but instead with American post and beam construction. Therefore our walls are pretty straight and we painting!

The Ukrainians working for us painted the walls of the house. For some of them, it was the first time they had painted a whole house with paint.
