Update on Katya from 2009 Camp...

Last summer you heard us talk about Katya, a young girl brought to our camp by social services. Her story continues and now as a result, a local church in Ukraine has seen God open the door for their ministry to Katya's village. Here is an email I received yesterday from Olha, our co-worker in regards to Katya...

As you know, someone left things for Katya (during winter trip) and we at last succeeded to arrange a meeting with the village leader. We left things with her and she also informed us that Katya feels ok at school, though the situation is not ok at home. The village leader checks on the family often, parents don’t sell things, but because of bad care things turn into trash soon. We even got to see Katya for a few minutes.

After talking with the village leader we understood that the village has lots of needs though leader was not complaining or demanding. That’s why we talk spoke to our church in Kiev about village needs, and now our church is praying for the best possible ways to help village kids in Dymarka. It is possible that the church will start program for the village.

Please continue to pray for Katya and all of the other children like her!
