Heating System for Rescue Shelter - $2,000
The Rescue Shelter is almost ready to begin operation. When the facility opens this summer, it will have the capacity to house up to 20 kids plus staff. The building still is in need of a heating system before fall/winter. The heating system (boiler, radiators and piping) will cost $2,500.
Electrical Transformer - $5,000
In 2010, we were blessed with an electrical transformer on our camp property. A donor provided the funds to put in the largest available. At that time, it was a 64 kilowatt transformer. It is huge! Since then, larger transformers are available for private purchase and our camp facilities have grown. With this combination, it is now necessary for us to "increase" our capacity from 64 kilowatts to 100 kilowatts. We do not need a new transformer, but we need to do some work to add some "guts" to the one we have. To make this improvement, we need $5,000.
Small Household Needs for Rescue Shelter
The Rescue Shelter is in need of basic household things like curtains, towels, kitchen items, etc. We have created a "WalMart Wish List" with everything we need.
