Providing Temporary Shelter & Care for Artyum...

Last summer, Artyum arrived at camp on his 7th birthday. Throughout the year, we have watched him suffer while living with his Grandmother, who is a pretty bad alcoholic. In late April, Artyums Grandmother decided to put Artyum up for adoption and no longer retain guardianship.

Social Servics allowed us to serve as temporary foster parents for Artyum and we did some quick rearranging of our house. We moved Sophie into our bedroom and moved a camp bed into her room for Artyum. For a little over a month, Artyum was a part of our family until he was adopted by a Ukrainian Christian couple.
