Landscaping & Beginning of Parking Lot...

This week has seen lots of changes to the landscape of Pine Branch Christian Camp. Our guests from Texas have spent the week transplanting about 30+ pine trees all around the fence of the camp.

In addition to the trees, today, they completed a great entry to the camp. Using logs which they bought at a local lumber mill, they built a retaining wall on one side of the main gate. They then planted 7 pine trees on the upper section and created a flower garden on the lower area.

This is the raised bed garden the team constructed on one side of the front gate.

This afternoon, I built a retaining wall on the opposite side of the fence.
Next week, the area behind will be filled in with dirt and pine trees will be planted.

This is the view from outside the front gate area of the camp.
The natural log retaining walls add a great effect to the camp.
